Warning: xB Machine is in developmental phase

Do not rely on it for complete security. It is released as a development example.

  • Open xBVM.vmx with VMWare or QEMU, which are virtual machine softwares. You may have to select “Create” if a dialog pops up.

  • Create a password. Then login as username “xero” with your selected password.

  • Click on the configuration button on the bottom bar, enter in your transaction ID as given below. In a few moments xB Browser will automatically download and configure your system for XeroBank Plus service. If you don’t have a XeroBank account, you can skip this step and use the slower free network.

  • Click on the Anonymity Network Selector, which looks like a globe. Click on “XeroBank Plus” and then click the OK button. Non-clients can select “Tor” for their network access.

  • You can now access the internet anonymously and safely.

NOTE: If you had started Firefox prior to setting up the connection with the anonymity selector, your browser may appear unresponsive. Go to Tools:Clear Private Data, and then hit refresh.

Troubleshooting

Stops loading after Inode-cache: This issue can occur on motherboards that use APIC technology. There are two solutions. The first is to wait, in which time the xB Machine may resume loading after 1 or 2 minutes. The second solution is to make a change in the bootmanager. The bootmanager is accessed during loading by pressing “e”. Then go over to the line that says “kernel” and press “e” again. Type “noapic” at the end of the line and press “enter” then press “b”. Now let it finish booting as normal and the problem should be resolved.
